CC-ing in sequence and workflow emails

We should be able to CC an email address for bulk emails. When I use a list for a sequence or workflow, I need to make sure my colleague is CC-ed and right now there is no way I can do this other than sending 1:1 emails to my entire list.

Hi @AOster , thank you for sharing this post!

I found a proposed feature in the Ideas Forum related to your case:
https://community.hubspot.com/t5/HubSpot-Ideas/CC-in-Sequences/idi-p/37307

I’d recommend upvoting the idea and adding your specific use case there for the product team to take note.

I’m also going to tag a few community experts in case they’ve found any additional workarounds. Hey there @Gaurav_Aggarwal @Lucila-Andimol @GiantFocal any ideas?

Thanks!
Victor

Wow an open one from 2017! Guess I will have to use a different platform
for this task. Thanks for sending me the link!

Hey AOster,

Yeah that ideas post being open since 2017 is rough. It’s one of the most requested features and still not there natively.

One workaround that might save you from switching platforms entirely: you can set up a BCC address in your HubSpot email settings that forwards to your colleague. It’s not exactly CC (since the recipient wont see your colleague on the email) but it does keep them in the loop on every outbound message from sequences. You can configure this under Settings > General > Email. (Manage marketing email open and click tracking )

Not ideal, I know, but it works if the main goal is just making sure your colleague has visibility.

If they actually need to be visible on the thread as a CC so the prospect can reply to both of you, then honestly theres no clean native way to do that in sequences today. Some teams work around it by using a shared inbox or a group email alias as the sender, but that changes the whole dynamic of personalized outreach. Worth upvoting that ideas post and adding your use case like Victor suggested since volume of requests is what moves things up the priority list at HubSpot. Note This response was written based on my own experience and lightly reformatted with AI for clarity.

Hope something there helps in the meantime!
