We have a connected team inbox in HubSpot and are using the email reply beta, which tracks & allows automation around replies to marketing emails as long as they are being sent to a connected inbox. I think it would be great, and hopefully not too challenging, to implement a workflow enrollment trigger for Activity > Email received in connected inbox (allow selection of which inbox). Then, I would use this to automatically add anyone who emails our team inbox to a specific Salesforce campaign (right now, we have to add people manually to a list in HubSpot that triggers a workflow to do this).
Use Case:
Sending specific messaging to folks who open emails, or send internal notification to folks who do not have access to hubspot sales add-in notification
Alternative:
Enable mobile and desktop notifications for all Sales email opens/clicks that appear in the activity feed
Currently, one can only see when and if a sales email was opened and the link was clicked in the contact view of each only.
It can currently not be used as a trigger in workflows.
It would be great if one could use it as a trigger to follow up on opened and clicked emails during the cold acquisition stage of sales/presales.
So if you want to monitor the highly engaged prospects that opens your emails multiple times - you are not able to have a full control of it in automation - no variants to create a workflow that adds a task to the AEs to review the contact cause he is actively opening the SALES emails.
Thanks!
My company relies more on our sales reps use of sequencing rather than our marketing emails that are sent out. We want to create a workflow to add a task trigger based on link clicks in a sequenced email.
This would give our reps the ability to have a follow up task with those potential clients who are interacting with our emails, and potentially raise conversion rates through our sequences and tasks.
Just leaving my comment here to confirm that a little over a year after the original post, this is still very much a necessity for our team as well.
I sincerly hope the HubSpot development team focuses on this feature in the near future.
Having a similar issue here - we have a downloadable resource (uploaded to file manager) that I want to trigger a workflow for an automated sales email each time someone downloads the file from a marketing email. There is no way to track contact downloads on a shareable link, because that link changes for every person. Would love it if Hubspot gave this some attention so we can follow up with contacts that take action to receive our content!
It would be very helpful to be able to enroll a contact into a workflow based on an email they send to a specific connected inbox
an option to say “if a contact sends email to support@exampleemail.com send marketing email X”
It would be great to have a contacts property trigger thats “Sales email send date” as a way to automate SQL as a lifecycle stage.
Yes, this should be a must
I would love to be able to trigger a workflow based on words within an email reply to a marketing or sales email. For example, if we get an auto-reply saying that they are no longer with the company, I want to use this information to clean up our contact information.
I’d love similar functionality to this. I have a routine email format which is sent form my supplier to trigger an internal action. If this email could auto generate a ticket and the email contents could auto map to contact / ticket properties this would be extermemly helpful
Passing along this idea as it would be helpful in the future to maybe initialize:
Create workflow automation where a custom contact record would be updated when sending a specific template email used from the Hubspot Sales extension.
(IE we would send “RE Introduction” template to johnsmith@email.com and John Smith’s custom contact record of “Interest In” could be set to “Real Estate”?)…
Our team is on the move and utilizes the Hubspot Sales Extension out of Gmail. With different silos of clients, it would make having that trigger beneficial since it is not always easy to update who has what interest before or after the fact.
Would like to see a Workflow trigger that is “Email” - “Incoming Sent to Address” - “Contains any of” so that we could trigger contact owner assignment based on the sales email that an incoming email was sent to since we have multiple sales emails and need to be handled be seperate reps.
