Hi all - I am trying to build a dashboard that reflects net new activities of sales reps (calls, emails, etc. that are sent to contacts that are NOT related to any deals and are NOT customers). Any way to do this?
Hi @BMcNally - thanks for the question!
Here is what I would do if I were in your shoes:
- Create a Custom Report, with Contacts as your Primary Data Source, and Contacts as the secondary.
- Add Number of Associated Deals as a filter to the report, set to ‘Is Unknown’. This will become filter group 1
- Add Number of Associated Deals as a filter to the report, set to ‘Is Equal To’, ‘0’. This will be come filter group 2
- Set the filter to meet any one of the filter groups.
- Your filters should now look like this:
From here, you can set up your report counting # of activities, sorting by rep, breaking down by activity type, etc!
Let me know how this goes and if there is anything else I can do to assist.
You’ve got this! ![]()

@BMcNally - HubSpot won’t let me edit my post to you, but forgot to explicitly mention the Lifecycle Stage Filter as shown in the screenshot!
Your filter groups 1 and 2 should include Lifecycle Stage ‘is none of’ , ‘Customer’ (assuming this is where you would track Contacts who are Customers).
An updated version of this filter example can be found here:
