We’re trying to create an accurate report that shows people that became a client WITHOUT interaction with the sales team and those that became a client WITH.
However we are struggling to accurately report on this since using the property sales activity also includes things like creating a task or manual deal creation.
ideally we just need this report to show people who have actually interacted with a human in the sales team I.e they’ve responded to an email or had a call with them.
Any help and advice is greatly appreciated
Hi @squigglebit,
Do you want this to be a contact-based report? If so, I’d recommend using an active contact-based list for help.
In such a list, filter for contacts which are associated with an activity where Activity type is Email or Call. By filtering a report by this list, you’ll only get contacts where there has been one of the two sales activities. By excluding this list from a report, you’ll only get contacts without this type of activity.
Let me know if you have any follow-up questions!
Yes we would want this to be a contact based report.
But we need it to show the count of sales activities but only for emails
and calls
Hi @squigglebit,
In that case you’d create a report with the custom report builder: Menu > Reports > Reports > Create report > Custom report builder
As primary data source, select Contacts, as an additional source Activities.
In addition to the list filter I mentioned before, you could then again filter and break down your visualization by Activity type.
Best regards!
This is what I have so far, which I think is correct
I now need the same report for deals closed without sales team interaction and I’m struggling with that one.
Hi @squigglebit,
Without access to your portal it’s hard to verify whether those are the correct settings but generally, this looks good.
In terms of deals without interactions, as mentioned before, you need to pull in the contact object as a data source and exclude contacts with sales activities via list membership. The list would include contacts with corresponding activities. You would exclude contacts from that list in the report.
Best regards
This is the build using those with sales activities as an exclusion list (ignore the list name I just renamed it)
The list contains all contacts with a sales activity
Hi @squigglebit,
What exactly is your question? Is something not as expected? I don’t have enough context to pro-actively make suggestions.
Best regards
