I am curious if there is a way to have separate association cards on company records based on the association label.
Example: We work in healthcare IT. We have a current set up of the following association labels.
- Facility (child)
- Network (parent)
- Parent Network (grandparent)
We want to introduce another association label, but don’t want the ones with that label to appear on the card on the right hand side, because it’s more important to see the parent/child associations first.
Is there a way to have an association card with just one association label? It would help when looking at the company from an overall view.
Hi @LNitti! You can show separate association cards based on labels — but only by using custom cards in HubSpot.
By default, the right-hand Associations card shows all associated records (with all labels). But if you want to see only certain association labels (like “Facility”, “Network”, etc.), you can:
Go to Settings > Objects > Companies > Record Customization.
Add a custom card using the “Association label list” option.
Choose the label you want the card to show (e.g., only “Facility”).
Create separate cards for each label if needed.
This way, you’ll have different cards for each relationship type, and you can easily keep your parent/child structure visible without clutter from other labels.
What HubSpot subscription level are you using (e.g. Professional, Enterprise)? The ability to filter custom association cards by label requires a certain tier.
When creating the card, are you choosing “Association label list” or just “Associated records”? The label-specific option might not be selected.
We have an Enterprise subscription. I also want to note that this is specific to the right hand side of company records. I did create a label specific one for the center “Overview” tab, but I want it on the right hand side of the company record instead, as that is where our team looks for a quick overview.
When I go to create a card on the right hand side, I get two options:
At this time, it’s not possible to change what properties appear on the right-hand association cards based on the association label. They can be customized, as mentioned, but its all associations regardless of label.
