Is there a way in HubSpot to exclude contacts previously contacted (by myself or my colleagues) from sequences? I contacted someone for a second time by accident after my colleague already reached out to the contact a few weeks before.

Yes, when you enroll contacts into your sequence, you could exclude contacts via “Last contacted is unknown”. (“the last date and time a chat conversation, call, sales email, or meeting was logged for the contact. This is set automatically by HubSpot based on the latest date of the activities in the record”)
For example, if you’re enrolling contacts from the contact index page (Menu > Contacts > Contacts), click More filters in the Center of the screen (above the list of contacts). Set a filter for “Last contacted is unknown”. HubSpot will only return contacts where there hasn’t been any outreach via sales email.
From the sequences tool itself this is not possible, unless I’m forgetting something.
