Opt out contact if its enrolled in an email discussion

Hello community!

I am trying to set up the following logic:

I have created filters to identify potential interesting contact for our sales team to monitor and contact. Because some of those contacts are already in touch with our sales, I would like to find an automatic way to opt out those contacts from the “interesting list” i created.

In other terms, once we contact them, they should no longer be in the “interesting list”. Our sales emails are tracked within hubspot so there must be a way right?

Kindly,

Stéphane

Hi @StephaneBadel,

I wouldn’t opt contacts out – you’re probably referring to simply excluding them?
If so, you can exclude them by filtering for Last contacted is known. When an email is logged in HubSpot, this property is updated:

Last contacted: the last date and time a chat conversation, call, sales email, meeting, or message was logged for the contact. This is set automatically by HubSpot based on the latest date of the activities in the record. For example, the Last contacted property in the record will show yesterday’s date when a user logs a call that occurred the day before.

In other words, by adding the criterion “AND Last contacted is unknown” they would disappear from your “interesting list”.

Best regards!

Hallo,

Yes excluding is what I meant, sorry for the misusage of “opting out” ahah.

Thanks for the feedback, I will try that!

Kindly,

Stéphane

So another detail I forgot to mention is, I would like to exclude all contact belong to the same company as the contact I excluded with your solution. Cause we are doing B2B, those contacts are not interesting as soon as we are starting a conversation with them, I would like my sales to focus on other contacts, if that makes sense?

Kindly

Stéphane

Hi @StephaneBadel,

In that case you could exclude contacts associated to company records where Last contacted is known.

Best regards!

I did not know we could do that… That makes sense…
Thanks a lot!
