Way to add contact to a new sequence who did not respond to previous sequence?

I’d like to add contacts to a new sequence who did not respond to a previous sequence. Is there a way to do this without being a premium Hubspot member?

The Sequences tool itself doesn’t offer this option in any of the tiers. When navigating to Automation > Sequences and clicking on a specific sequence, you can filter for contacts and their engagement, but it’s currently not possible to create lists from this view. However, you could open the contacts in a new tab and manually enroll them in the new sequence:

Alternatively, there are contact properties which you could use for list building:

  • Recent sales email clicked date (Sales Hub Professional and Enterprise only) the date of the last time that the contact clicked on a sales email.
  • Recent sales email open date: the date of the last time that the contact opened a sales email. This property does not update for emails that were sent to more than one contact.
  • Recent sales email replied date: the date of the last time that the contact replied to a sales email sent from your connected G Suite or Outlook 365 email account.

If, for example Recent sales email replied date is unknown and Now in sequence has ever been equal to true, that should get you contacts who haven’t engaged with your sequences yet.

Additionally, I’d recommend updating Lead status whenever a contact does reply to your sequences. That way, you can filter out certain lead statuses from the list above.
