Page views not showing

We’re having some issues with page views not showing up on a contact record. If we set up a report we can see that there has been a page view. This is vital for several of our workflows as we push information about visits on specific pages to our sales team.

Anybody else have this issue and knows how to resolve it?

Hi @MHansen88,

Where exactly are you seeing page views in a report?

Keep in mind that there is a difference between anonymous page views and sessions (as found in the marketing traffic analytics) and identified page views which would show up on a contact record. For the latter to work, a contact must have previously accepted cookies and either submitted a form or clicked through a marketing email sent from HubSpot.

If that is not the case, HubSpot cannot make a connection between website activity and contact records.

In other words, if you’re testing this by viewing a page and then checking your contact record, without having ever submitted a form or clicked through a marketing email, it is expected behavior that this page view is not reflected on the contact record.

Best regards

HubSpot support built a report to see the page view for a specific contact, so it has been tracked, but somehow it still doesn’t show on the contact record.

@MHansen88 can you please share a screenshot of the configuration and filter of the reports? This is a public forum, I am not HubSpot support, I can’t help without knowing more context / details.

If you’re looking at a contact record, make sure that you have page views selected in your activity timeline filters: Filter activity index pages and record timelines
