Unable to show the number of page views per contact

Hi HS community,
I have an issue with the page views activaities of contacts.
Currently, the page view data is only recorded for a small subset of contacts. As shown in the screenshot, only the top two contacts have meaningful website activity data, while the rest show “0” page views. Interestingly, the “first page seen” is still being recorded for those contacts, which makes the zero page views count seem inaccurate.

Does anyone had this issue before, and know how to solve it?
Thanks a lot!

Yeah, that’s pretty normal. HubSpot only tracks page views if the contact accepts cookies and uses the same browser. If they clear cookies, use a different device, or were added manually/imported, you’ll see 0 page views, even if the first page seen shows up. Not much you can do unless they convert again or accept tracking. Happens to me all the time.

Hi @XGong,

This is definitely unusual and unfortunately, the field definitions don’t give any clues as to why this might occur. In any case, it seems buggy to me and – since this is a user-to-user community – I’d reach out to HubSpot support to confirm what’s going on.

Here’s what I think is happening: Through other activities (e.g. form submissions) HubSpot is able to infer the first page seen. However, the contact might not have accepted cookies in their browser in which case HubSpot is not able to track the actual page views. Counting up the property would be misleading if only inferred page views were counted, and HubSpot might leave the property blank for that reason.

Just a hypothesis – HubSpot support can confirm / help troubleshoot further.

Best regards!
