Meeting Notes sync to Salesforce

Hi, our team is using the Meeting notes in Hubspot to summarize the meeting highlights. However, this info is not passed to Salesforce. Any ideas if it’s possible and what should be done?

Hey @PKirova, thanks for reaching out! This is a great question.

As far as I understand (and looking at the HubSpot Knowledge Base article), HubSpot syncs the meeting as an activity assigned to a user in Salesforce using default fields. I don’t believe that syncing the notes attached to the meeting is possible at this time.

However, there are other users asking for this functionality! I strongly encourage you to share your thoughts and use case in that thread since it’ll be your best shot at getting in front of the HubSpot Product Team. It looks like there are limitations in general with how HubSpot notes are synced with Salesforce, so we’ll hopefully see improvements there soon.

In the meantime, consider creating a custom multi-line text contact property that could be used to enter key notes. You’ll be able to easily map that HubSpot property to a Salesforce field so you can at least carry that info over. I know that’s not a perfect solution, but it will allow you to at least sycn that info.

@kvlschaefer I want to make sure I’m not overlooking anything with HubSpot notes/meeting notes being synced with Salesforce. Do you have any additional documentation or Community Members who may be able to speak to that? Thank you!!

Thanks @jolle - the idea you mentioned is related to Notes, not Meeting notes. These are different things. Meeting notes are part of the meeting showing like a comment below the meeting (see my screenshot).

I know that the regular Notes (not Meeting notes) are already synced as activites. Maybe we will use them or we will use your suggestion with the contact properties.

It’s currently not possible to sync over meeting notes to Salesforce. The current HubSpot activities that can be synced over to Salesforce are listed here.

@PKirova - I would recommend considering @jolle’s custom property workaround in the meantime so you can view the meeting note information in Salesforce.

I just got a confirmation from the support team that it’s not possible so I submitted it as idea here.
