I have completed all of the lessons for the HubSpot Sales Software, however, the exercises still reflect as unfinished. For the one asking me to create a meeting link, I receive an error telling me to contact support when I try to connect my calendar.
And for another example, the practical exercise that asks me to Install the HubSpot Sales Extension, it has been installed for days and still does not reflect it being so.
And yet another example, for the practical exercise that asks me to “Create an email template”, I follow the prompts, and then it tells me to choose my account, and then it brings me to my Sales Dashboard.
Also, for the “Create a Deal” exercise, I have created a deal and the circle still hasn’t got a check to show that it is completed.
I seem to have a similar issue with each practical exercise and it is preventing me from moving forward and getting my certifications which are required by my company.
There is a known issue affecting certifications at the moment and I think this may be causing the issue you are experiencing. I can see on the backend that you have completed the necessary steps, so once the fix is rolled out for the certifications we can see if that was causing the issue.
If not, we will continue troubleshooting your individual issue.
Thanks for the update. Not sure if this is related but another issue I’m experiencing is the the practical exercise that asks me to install the HubSpot Sales Extension, I’ve done so and been using it for quite some time and that box still isn’t checked as complete either.
Also, in order for me to complete my Marketing Software Certification, I need to complete the practical exercise “HubSpot Marketing Software - Posting a Blog”. Every time I go to do this, I get the error “Sorry, you do not have the permissions for this page

HubSpot Marketing Software - Landing Pages Example
This one brings me to my “Reports Dashboard”, the “Landing Page” link at the top is locked and says I need to pay for “Marketing Professional” in order to submit a landing page.
And finally for the HubSpot Marketing Software - Email Example, I get a “role restriction” error which doesn’t make any sense considering the admin of the account has give me full access.
This is all VERY frustrating as I need to complete these certifications for work and this has been preventing me from doing so for months now. Writing these responses/emails and going back and forth with support also takes up a good chunk of time that I could be using towards productive business activities. Please keep me updated on instructions as to when these matters will be/are resolved, and if there are any other steps I need to take. Thanks.
In regards to the marketing certification, a marketing basic/pro/enterprise subscription is required. For more information on marketing subscriptions, click here. The marketing certification requires scopes that allow you to post content to your website through HubSpot, which begin with the marketing basic subscription.
So if this is true my marketing certification training is stalled. I am in the midst of an effort to upskill and certify between projects, i.e. currently on free hubspot portal? That creates a catch 22 can’t certify to market oneselfs to be the resource on a new project.
Any chance of a workaround on this?
Is there a “developer license” similar to salesforce.com. Or perhaps your team could create a sandbox portal for Academy members?
Maybe a CRM/MA focused recriiter like FRG could sponsor it?
While this functionality does not currently exist for creating these type of portals, I would recommend creating an idea in our ideas forum to share your idea with the product team.
