We have an issue with our customers wanting separate quotes. One for licenses and one for services, this makes the line items dissappear for each quote that we do.
This affects us as we use the values under the product line items to calculate the outstanding value on our quotes.
Is there a way to hide a line item from the quote without it being removed from the deal?
Hey @AKara, thank you for posting in our Community!
I understand you are wondering if you can prevent line items from appearing in your quotes, or hide them directly, however, I’m afraid that at the moment it is only possible to hide, clone, or delete them directly. (please refer to the image attached). Currently, there are no options to hide them from your quotes.
Thanks for the tag @PamCotton. I would hav shared the same advice for @AKara - customizing a quote template is likely the route here. That might include talking to a partner or HubSpot developer, as it’s not always easy to customize HubSpot tools. But that was my thought!
Hey @AKara,
Nice to meet you!
We have an quote automation app for HubSpot called Portant. It it will give you more control over how the quote looks and what data is added to your quote than HubSpot’s native quote tool. You could make different quote templates for each version. I made a short 60s video about it here:
If this sounds helpful, we have some docs to help you get started: HubSpot | Portant Docs but if you need any additional help, please feel free to email me james@portant.co and we can set up a call.
Cheers,
James - CEO @ Portant
If there would be an possibility to Hide a certain product within the Product Library, would be great and simple solution.
It can be used in the background for the Orders or Invoices sync, however, not being able to be used on Quotes.
Hi @MartinaK and welcome, we are delighted to have you here!
Thanks for asking the Community!
Just to confirm what has been said on this thread by @danmoyle and @HubDoPete (thank you both), you can use custom code in your HubSpot Quote template for that.
That said, I understand that you’d like to have it in the Product Library for a simpler solution.
