I’m experiencing an issue that could not be resolved by my local sales contact and would appreciate technical guidance from the community.
According to my account overview, I currently have 810 contacts, which is clearly below my plan’s contact limit. However, whenever I try to create a new contact (via UI or import), I receive an error message stating that the contact limit has been reached.
I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps without success:
Different browsers
Incognito mode
HubSpot mobile app
The issue persists across all environments.
To my knowledge, there are no pending imports, no deleted contacts waiting for permanent removal, and no workflows actively creating contacts in the background.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue or can point me to what might be causing this behavior (e.g. hidden marketing contacts, delayed syncs, or account-level limits)?
Any help or pointers would be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Tim
Could you double-check that you’ve followed the Restore Contacts steps mentioned in the post above to delete any extras? I know you touched on this earlier, but in the past, performing those steps and then clearing your cache seems to be the most consistent fix for this issue.
Feel free to reply here with your findings! Looking forward to your response!
I did the thing and deleted all restored contacts (around 700), deleted the cache (several times), reloaded also the webpage.
Good news: all restored contacts are deleted.
bad news: still can not add new contacts
Hey @TVerhoeven,
