Please add a call center integration option such as RingCentral Engage to the Service section of the Help Desk. This would allow tickets to be automatically created when a call comes in.
Integrating a platform like this would help larger teams manage calls, unify communication channels (chat, phone, email, etc.), track resolution data more effectively, and improve overall customer experience regardless of who picks is responding. It would also provide better insights for process improvements.
We’ve actually tested a few call center integrations for help desk setups, including RingCentral Engage, CloudTalk, and Zendesk Talk, mostly to see which one handles automatic ticket creation the best.
RingCentral Engage was the first option we tried. Setup was quick, and inbound calls were logged reliably, so it worked fine for larger teams already using the RingCentral stack.
When we moved to CloudTalk, though, the whole flow felt smoother. Tickets were created instantly, caller details synced more consistently, and agents could handle everything inside the help desk without bouncing between tools. The analytics were also clearer, which helped us understand call volumes and response gaps much faster.
Zendesk Talk is simple and easy to enable, but it’s better suited for smaller teams that don’t need deeper call insights.
So yeah, adding something like RingCentral Engage would definitely help, but based on our experience, CloudTalk gives a bit more flexibility and better visibility across channels.
