Hi folks
I am testing the new Buyer Intent tool and noticed the “Showing Intent” filter isn’t working.
For example, the intent has a few conditions:
When looking at a company record with the “Showing intent” in the OFF position, I see quite a few companies in the list. Some of these companies even match the criteria. For example:
But as soon as I turned the “Showing Intent” toggle ON, all companies, including those with “Intent” in the records, disappeared from the list.
Is anyone else seeing this?
Hi @freitasm, I hope that you are well!
Thank you for reaching out to the Community and for adding screenshots to your post!
Just to clarify how the buyer Intent works:
Companies that meet any of the configured intent criteria will be determined as showing intent.
After installing the Hubspot tracking code, company data will appear in buyer intent.
If you’re using HubSpot’s free tools, you will be limited to 20 companies per view.
When adding a company to your CRM from buyer intent, the company will have a Record source property value of Buyer-Intent.
1. Did you add the HubSpot tracking code?
2. Did you add the site domain and the limit tracking for this domain?
For it to work, the “showing intent” has to be toggled on/activated.
I understand that when you have the toggle ON for the “showing intent” then there is no “Buyer-intent” value on any company. Please let me know if that’s not the case.
I’d love to to put you in touch with some of our Top Experts and Community Members:
Hi @LVasko, @ChristianRieck, @danmoyle, @Crystal_Hopper and @CHawkins are you also using the buyer intent functionality?
Did you experience the same as @freitasm, please?
If there is a strange behavior noted from you all, since this is in Beta, please do let me know, so that I can share it internally.
Thanks so much and have a wonderful day!
Best,

Hi Bérangère
Thanks for the time to reply.
The Intent filter doesn’t work with multiple conditions (OR). If it has only one condition, it shows results, but only sometimes.
The site has been running on Hubspot CMS for at least four years, and the tracking code is functional.
Here is an example. One simple intent condition:
With the switch in the OFF position:
And with the switch in the ON position:
But let’s see what happens with a filter with multiple (OR) conditions.
I’d expect this to list companies that visited Page Path A OR Page Path B:
But the list is empty:
It seems the Intent filter is doing AND instead of OR despite the list showing OR between the conditions.
I think I know what’s happening…
When you change the filter conditions it resets the view but it will not select companies instantly. It seems to take about five minutes for the filter to apply and show results.
Hi @freitasm, thanks for getting back to us on this and taking the time to show examples!
Thanks also for your valued feedback!
Our teams have been made aware of this and resolving the issue is currently our top priority.
We’re sorry for the inconvenience and I’ll keep you posted as soon as possible!
Best,
Bérangère
