I have hundreds of properties that I want to get rid of but they are “Used In” custom views, reports, required in the creation form, etc.
I think it would be super beneficial to have the ability to overwrite these items it is used in to be able to archive it. Example 1 (easiest to implement): if a property is used in a custom view, remove that column from the view automatically and archive the property. Example 2: If a property is used in a report, delete the report entirely with a warning before archiving the property. Example 3: If a property is required in creation form, remove from the form and archive the property.
Hi all, I’m Rachel from the HubSpot Product team! An update that should help with ‘example 1’ outlined in this post - It’s now possible to delete properties that are Used In index page Views as a sort/column, without manually removing that property from each View. The goal of this update is to make it easier to clean up properties that aren’t critical your CRM data model.
This functionality is available as part of the Improved property archive experiencebeta available to all tiers and hubs
To get access to this beta, request access via Product Updates (beta update here)
To test it out, simply Archive a property that is only used in index page views as a column/sort - you’ll be able to Archive directly in Property Settings and the property will be automatically removed from the corresponding Views
Hi everyone! My name is Hallie, and I’m an Associate Program Manager on our CXM team. I wanted to share a quick clarification around this feature. The use case in Example 1 is available as highlighted in Rachel’s comment above, but this is still set as ‘idea submitted’ because the other two example use cases aren’t available at this time. We also have this KB that details how properties can be archived in bulk. I hope this helps in the meantime!
