Add "source" to Tickets created via API

I am using Hubspot CRM API to create tickets in batch. I was to set Source property of each ticket to Email.

But I didn’t find any property for Source in CRM API.

Refer: Accounts Dashboard | HubSpot

Let me know if there any more properties to send in request apart from following.

{
“hs_pipeline”: “support_pipeline”,
“hs_pipeline_stage”: “open”,
“hs_ticket_priority”: “HIGH”,
“hubspot_owner_id”: “910901”,
“subject”: “troubleshoot report”
}

Hey, @MaheshV :waving_hand: To confirm, you can add additional properties into your request. Here’s how I did it:

  • I added an option to the Ticket property > Source. You can use the default values or create your own as needed.

  • I added the property and value to my request—make sure to use the internal values and not the label—in my case source_type and MY_CAT
    My request:

    curl --request POST \
     --url https://api.hubapi.com/crm/v3/objects/tickets \
     --header 'authorization: Bearer NOPE' \
     --header 'content-type: application/json' \
     --data '{
     "properties": {
     "hs_pipeline": "0",
     "hs_pipeline_stage": "1",
     "hs_ticket_priority": "HIGH",
     "hubspot_owner_id": "198670650",
     "subject": "troubleshoot report",
     "source_type": "MY_CAT"
     }
    }'

    My response:

    HTTP 201

    {
     "id": "999396896",
     "properties": {
     "createdate": "2022-07-14T16:08:40.033Z",
     "hs_all_owner_ids": "198670650",
     "hs_lastmodifieddate": "2022-07-14T16:08:40.033Z",
     "hs_object_id": "999396896",
     "hs_pipeline": "0",
     "hs_pipeline_stage": "1",
     "hs_ticket_id": "999396896",
     "hs_ticket_priority": "HIGH",
     "hs_user_ids_of_all_owners": "10233975",
     "hubspot_owner_assigneddate": "2022-07-14T16:08:40.033Z",
     "hubspot_owner_id": "198670650",
     "source_type": "MY_CAT",
     "subject": "troubleshoot report"
     },
     "createdAt": "2022-07-14T16:08:40.033Z",
     "updatedAt": "2022-07-14T16:08:40.033Z",
     "archived": false

And we can see in the CRM that the ticket was created, and the Source was included as expected :blush:

Have fun coding! —Jaycee

Thanks Jaycee,

You’re a legend. The custom property was already there, I thought it it HS property.
After reading your answer looked for the Ticket Property > Source and found it !!

You made my day. Thanks.

Have a nice day.
