zip code auto populates

Status: Idea Submitted

why cant the system auto populate the town and state (and heck even the country) based on the entering the zip code?

this would be a huge time saver.

I’ve seen requests before to auto-populate states, but cities would be very helpful as well!

Also, Insycle can help with automatically populating states based on zip codes in HubSpot. Full disclosure, I work for Insycle. You can use “Map US Zip/Postal Code to US State” function in Insycle. Then you tell Insycle which field is the zip code and which field is the state.

You could also conceivably build a template in Insycle to auto-populate cities as well. But it would be a lot of work, you’d have to define on a postal code-by-postal code basis.

Then, you could schedule this template to run on a consistent basis (daily, weekly, monthly), or even add the template into HubSpot Workflows so that the state field is populated immediately after you collect your data.

Hope that helps!

I completely agree! Not having city/state makes the form much shorter. The computer should be able to assign the city/state based on the zip code field.

Yes!

I removed country, city, state, from my forms and had to build a whole set of workflows to apply that data just for the US. Currently international form fills have to be adjusted manually because that’s just far too much data to enter manually.

This is a feature that most random forms have and somehow Hubspot just doesn’t have any data around postal codes.

Hi everyone! I built a HubSpot add-on that does this. It is currently pending approval to be added to the HubSpot marketplace, but you can try it out in beta now! Go to www.zipcodeautofill.com to get started. Please give me any feedback you have! Currently only US zipcodes work :slightly_smiling_face:
