Autofill City and State from Zipcode

Does anyone have a solution to auto complete city and state from a zipcode. I’m trying to see if I can switch from zoho completely but this is something I absolutly need within hubspot

Hey @redbags I just want to confirm the context here - are you in this case using HubSpot forms? What product (CRM for sales, COS for Marketing or Marketinng Free) are you using / looking to use?

Currently I’m using hubspot sales FREE addition but open to paid additions and other marketing with hubspot but first I need to insure everything I’m currently doing in zoho can be reproduced here.

There’s nothing built into Hubpsot that i’m awae of to do that. However, If you are comfortable with Javascript or have someone on your team that is, you could use an api like https://www.zipcodeapi.com/ to populate hidden city and state fields on your forms.

When a visitor come to your website, HubSpot automatically understands the user location like City, Country, Region, etc…

With this data, you can easily segment your database and contact the right lead for the region that you want to target.

Is there a way I can use these (i.e. IP State/Region) to send in a follow-up email? For example I would have some hidden fields on my Hubspot form that would autofill this info.

It is not on the marketplace yet as it is fairly new. But you can still install and use it exactly the same, just visit the link and click install.

Check out ZipCode AutoFill too! Super easy and you can backfill existing contacts.

Hey @redbags,

I know this thread is ancient and may not be a priority for the participants, but I wanted to share an updated solution.

There still is no standard feature for this. You could use Operations Hub and build a custom code to populate those fields based on the contents of the postal code field, but you would have to define it for every possible postal code. There are also a couple of plugins mentioned above that I believe are still active.

Also wanted to mention that Insycle can help with automatically populating states based on zip for contacts. Full disclosure, I work for them. But you can use the “Map US Postal Code to US State” function in Insycle to automatically populate the state.

Then, you could automate this template to run on a set schedule, such as every Friday. Or, you could inject it straight into a HubSpot Workflow so that states are automatically populated after a new record hits your database.
