One of our clients is currently using another agency to run their website, while we handle their advertising and HubSpot.
They’re currently using a chatbot on their website (EnquiryBot), which we would like to replace with a HubSpot chatbot.
I’ve created the chatbot, and am now trying to test it on a webpage, but the bot isn’t appearing.
After speaking with HubSpot Support, I’ve been told that the web agency needs to add the HubSpot tracking code to the WordPress site (they have done this), but the chatbot still isn’t appearing on the page.
Looking at other documentation, I’m being told to install the WordPress leadin plugin, but the instructions say that the WordPress user will need access to HubSpot - something which I would like to avoid.
I’ve downloaded the leadin zip file - but can’t see much documentation about this - can this be installed without HubSpot access?

If you’re unable to access HubSpot directly, you may need to work with the web agency or the client to ensure the proper integration is set up. They may need to add the tracking code correctly or troubleshoot any issues preventing the chatbot from appearing.
Alternatively, you could explore other chatbot options that don’t require direct integration with HubSpot. There are many WordPress chatbot plugins available that offer similar functionality and may be easier to set up without requiring access to external platforms like HubSpot.
Apologies, perhaps I had written this from the wrong perspective.
I’m with the agency that runs the HubSpot account, and the other agency runs the site itself.
The tracking code is installed on the site, so that’s not the issue.
We did manage to get the HubSpot chatbot to show on a test page (we think that this was a caching issue) - I’m now wondering to fully plug in HubSpot to WordPress (I don’t want the web agency to have access to HubSpot), or if the tracking code installation would be enough (I can already see page views and form submissions on a contact record).
Hey, @BQ_Oliver If you don’t want, or need, the other functions of the HubSpot Wordpress plugin, adding the tracking code should be sufficient to get the chatbot to work for you.
