I bet this is something troubling many hubspot clients as well. Currently, you have to enter products with fixed prices in the CRM so you can make quotes for those products. As a services company, our services pricing change depending on many factors.
Upon bringing this up to support, they suggested creating several repeated products with different prices. We’re a translations company and we between 6-7 services, all their prices change depending on:
Languages needed
specialization
Whether files are editable
Urgency
Add-ons
Just to provide an example, just 1 of our services is “professional translation” and depending on all those features above, it can end up having over 30 different prices. Now, imagine adding all other 6 services, 30 times each.
This can be easily solved by just allowing users to enter a base price in the CRM at the time of creating products but allowing them to modify pricing at the time of making an invoice. Forcing users to create repeated prices for the same products is extremely unnefficient and time consuming for them.
If we define our products in HubSpot, it would be great if we didn’t have to enter a fixed price, because we have a lot of variants. This is not possible at the moment. You always have to enter a fixed price. We would rather enter it individually depending on the offer.
Agreed! We are a subscription-based service but we charge our customers on a usage basis: $1 for each time their customers place an order across our platform. This amount will vary widely on a monthly basis for each of our customers. The only way I see using HubSpot Quotes/Payments to achieve this is to manually send a new Quote each month with their usage for the prior month, which will prompt the customer to input their payment information anew each month, which is a pain for our customers. We should just be able to send a new invoice (to let them know how much they will be charged), but retain their payment information.
I would like to have a resolution to this also since each contract we issue for our customers will have a different price due to a multi-variable proce structure, so having this capability in Hubspot would be great and not messy in the price/product structure.
As a Saas company, we also have several variables for each of our offerings; establishing those to adjust the pricing accordingly would be an excellent feature.
What is needed for HubSpot to consider these requests for their customers?
