Users List

Hi,

We have a user list and we would like to add the property of Job Title that will be displayed in the User List, so for each user we will be able to see his Job Title. From what I see it is not possible to add this column to the list view, is there a workaround to add it?

Thanks!

Hi @OBetzalel,

User properties are a Sales and Service Hub Enterprise feature – have you opted into the beta and created a custom user property ‘Job title’?

You’re correct, for now these cannot be displayed as a column and only edited as described below, unfortunately:

Add data to users with custom user properties

June 14, 2024

What is it?

As part of our goal to build a solution where Users are fully functioning CRM objects, we are introducing the ability for customers to add custom properties to users.

Why does it matter?

We know that CRM Admins often want to improve their usage of HubSpot and map their unique business processes into our tools. With users now extended across HubSpot tools, CRM admins can map custom employee data onto users, which can then be used to power reporting, automation, and more.

How does it work?

Follow these steps to get started:

  1. Navigate to Settings
  2. Navigate to Data Management > Properties
  3. Click Create property
  4. Under Object type select User

Then, follow the simple property creation wizard to finish setting up your custom user property. Once set follow these steps to start populating the data:

  1. Navigate to Settings
  2. Navigate to Users and Teams
  3. Navigate to Users
  4. Click on a User
  5. Navigate to Preferences and Custom User Properties

*Note that the User must be assigned a Sales or Service Enterprise Seat to have custom user data set on them.

Who gets it?

Sales Enterprise, Service Enterprise

If you want to provide this feedback, the best way is like submitting a request to the HubSpot Ideas section of the community: https://community.hubspot.com/t5/HubSpot-Ideas/idb-p/HubSpot_Ideas

I assume this will be added eventually but for now it’s limited to the preferences tab, as described above.

Best regards!

Hi @karstenkoehler ,

Thank you for the quick reply! I can’t find it in the product update:

Do you know where I can look for it?

Thanks!

@OBetzalel you need to select “All product updates” in the left sidebar, then search for “Add data to users with custom user properties”.

@karstenkoehler Thank you my friend!

Hi @karstenkoehler ,

Seems there is not option to add custom fields to the columns in the users list:

@OBetzalel yes, see my first reply, “You’re correct, for now these cannot be displayed as a column and only edited as described below, unfortunately:”
