  1. How the unsubscribe process works on your platform for users on the free plan?
  2. Any specific tools or features available to customize the unsubscribe link?
  3. Any restrictions or limitations related to managing unsubscribes on the free plan?

Happy to help here:

  1. HubSpot automatically adds preferences links to marketing emails and does not let you send them if you try to remove those links. In other words, the default is that these links are included and functional. You can learn more about these links here: Insert subscription links into marketing emails
  2. No, as the unsubscribe link is functional as it is, there aren’t further ways to customize this.
  3. In terms of functionality, there aren’t any restrictions, no. Unsubscribe and manage preferences links will work the same regardless of whether you’re using the free or the Enterprise plan. If a contact clicks the unsubscribe link and unsubscribes, that will automatically be documented on the contact record and HubSpot will automatically exclude them from emails in the future. If a contact unsubscribes from all emails, they cannot receive anything anymore. If they manage their preferences and unsubscribe from a specific subscription type, they will be excluded from emails sent under that subscription type.

If you create a marketing email in HubSpot By default, all marketing emails include a link in the email footer that link the contacts who are receiving marketing emails the option to manage their subscription they can opt if they want to unsubscribe from all of your marketing emails so you don’t need to create an unsubscribe link for marketing emails its already sent with the marketing eamils to know more kindly go through this article here

For sales and one-to-one emails When you turn on data privacy settings in your HubSpot account, the unsubscribe links will be included by default for all users.
