Tracking

Yesterday, someone replied to an email I sent from HubSpot.

However, on the contact record and in Activity Feed, the email still shows as ‘sent’ and has not changed to ‘opened’

What would cause this to happen please?

Thanks in advance people.

Mike

Hi @MChanning,

HubSpot sales email tracking relies on a pixel being loaded: Understand HubSpot Sales email open and click tracking | Knowledge Base

If that is being blocked by the recipient’s email client, HubSpot does not receive that feedback. For clicks, HubSpot will infer an open. For replies, apparently not.

Best regards!

Thank you very much Karsten.

Hope you are OK with me asking a further question Karsten.

This morning I see notification of an email open.

On my activity feed I see this message -

Someone opened email RE: Prospective Audio Visual / Unified Communications Supplier.

It looks like someone may have forwarded my original mail to a colleague - at least that what the addition of the ‘RE:’ suggests. So I cannot see the identity of the person I emailed in the first instance.

Is there a way of determining to whom I sent this original mail please?

Thanks again.

Mike

Hey, @MChanning :waving_hand: You may want to create a new post and use the `@` symbol to tag a user. It’s ok to do it here as well (that way @karstenkoehler gets notified ) but creating a new post will likely get you more views from more of our community members. — Jaycee
