Ticket Description Field in Overview

Our customer success team works primarily out of tickets and it’s really challenging to only be able to partially view the “ticket description” field on the side panel and not as part of the “overview” or “activity” tab to have a full view. Our ticket descriptions are often lengthy and formatted specifically and the most important part of the ticket’s content. Why can’t we view this field in a space that allows a full view of the description?

It would be great!

I’m surprised there aren’t more requests for this modification. Our team would really appreciate it too!

This would be a major improvement for our team as well.
While a lot of our company has shifted over the HubSpot, the lack of this a full view is holding back our move to Ticketing.

Same challenge. We are exploring whether we can use a custom workflow to create a Note upon ticket creation to display the description more prominently.

We’re also suprised and bothered that there’s not a way to display the ticket description fully and prominantly.

In the meantime, we’ve given up on using the description, and have moved all the important info to a note on the ticket.

Because the ticket shows activity in the center (and lets you do other things with them, like include formatting and hyperlinks), it’s much better. I’m guessing that most other customers are doing the same thing.

That said, it’s a shame to have to create notes (which can only be done manually and can’t easily be included in reports), while the description is languishing on the side.

@BDuff, your plan to use a workflow to copy info from the description to a note is a good one, but HubSpot famously doesn’t let you create notes within workflows

A few hundred people have upvoted and commented on the idea, but it’s currently “Not Planned”:

HubSpot Community - Workflow - Ability to Create Notes - HubSpot Community

The idea to have a 360 view in Hubspot is great, but if you are lacking major functionality (see without any additional mouse click the entire description of a ticket) it will not be possible to manage all your customer cases in hubspot. The Hubspot product team should have a look at other issue tracking systems (jira, even salesforce has this) where you can read the entire case like you read a newspaper.

Upvoting this if “Overview” means Ticket Details page. The Description can be quite long to fit in ticket listing!
