Properties for the Forms as a separate object

We have several “categories” of forms for different purposes, such as Webinars, Trials, Knowledge Sessions, Platform experiences, etc. Each comes in multiple languages.
It would be nice to have the possibility to create properties for the form itself to easily categorise the submissions (by type, language, country, etc.)

We’ve had some other use cases where we needed to assign a property to the form itself.
I know you can always use the naming convention to achieve the same result, but this is not a bulletproof solution.

Hi @MTurkishvili7,

This is currently not possible but will very likely be introduced soon – we’ve already seen the roll-out of campaign, list, and workflow properties. I’d say it’s only a matter of time.

There might be a HubSpot Ideas request for this: https://community.hubspot.com/t5/HubSpot-Ideas/idb-p/HubSpot_Ideas

However, a search for “form properties” is maddening, as the search intent of most users relates to fields in properties, not properties for forms.

In any case, until this is introduced, the typical way to solve this is by using hidden fields. For example, if you want to identify contacts from a specific form type, create a custom contact property (dropdown) with options for each form type. Then, for a webinar form, for example, pass the hidden value “Webinar” in that property. Pass contact property values with hidden form fields

This is different from being able to filter forms by form properties, but it helps with automating actions after a form submission by form type, langauge for example.

Best regards!
