problems with www subdomain

Hello,

I’m using a free Hubspot account.

According to this article (Change the hosting domain for HubSpot content), I have correctly written my brand domain during my Hubspot set up. My website is currently accessible online, but only as “branddomain.com” (using this as an example). My website is NOT available when I add www. I get the error message “Safari cannot open the page because the server cannot be found” on iPhone and on my laptop “This site can’t be reached.”

So under “Domains and URLs” under Tools in Settings, I can’t find an option that would fix this. It appears from the article that what needs to happen is the subdomain (www.) needs to be updated or added somewhere but I can’t figure out where or how to do that. Please help!

Hi @hookholster

I recommend setting up the redirect from www to the brand domain (domain without the www) using your Domain name provider.

Different domain providers have different ways of redirecting, so you will need to check with them.

Thanks Mike! Setting up a new CNAME record with my domain provider was ultimately what solved this--I really appreciate your help!
