Open rate and click tracking push with API?

I am tracking open and click rates through our own sales engagement platform - I would like to push the open and click information to HubSpot. Is this possible?

Hi @PjP1,
Thank you for asking the Community!
I’d like to share this documentation that might be of interest “Email Events API Overview”.
I also wanted to invite a couple of subject matter experts to this conversation: Hi @himanshurauthan, @Mulan and @MBERARD do you have suggestions to help @PjP1, please?
Also, if anybody else has anything to add and/or share, please feel free to join in the conversation :slightly_smiling_face:
Thank you very much and have a lovely day!

Best,
Bérangère

Thanks Bérangère. I am sending emails OUTSIDE hubspot. But I am tracking click and open rates.

I would like to push the events to hubspot.

Hi @PjP1,
Thanks for the additional information and sorry for the delay in the response!
I can see that you can get this data “Get the statistics of all marketing emails” but I didn’t see any endpoint to actually post this type of data.
I’d be happy to put you in touch with some of our Top Experts: Hi @zach_threadint, @Teun and @ChrisoKlepke do you know of a workaround to push this data into HubSpot, please? Or do you know of an API to send this data to help @PjP1, please?
Thanks so much and have a brilliant day!

Best,
Bérangère

Hi @PjP1 :waving_hand:

As far as I’m aware, the HubSpot Email Click/Open properties are read-only (i.e. they are system data fields that are defined and populated by HubSpot based on their own email analytics data collection). You may be interested in using HubSpot’s Custom Events API and then potentially manage some HubSpot custom properties using these events as automation triggers. I’ve not used this API for email analytics events specifically, but it might be a good fit for you use case.

Please let me know if you have any follow up questions.
