Hi, I would like to inquire about an issue I encountered with the free version of HubSpot. I attempted to import my WordPress blog into HubSpot, but I didn’t notice any discernible differences.
Even after creating and publishing a new template in HubSpot, my webpage’s appearance remained unchanged. The blog continued to display the same version from WordPress instead of reflecting the features and design elements offered by HubSpot.
My intention was to leverage HubSpot’s tools to enhance my blog with creative content, both in terms of written and visual aspects. Unfortunately, I was unable to achieve the desired outcome. Could you please assist me in resolving this matter? (domain has been directed with Hubspot tool, I was controling that).
It sounds as though your domain, while switched in the settings, has not resolved to the new address. Can you ping your site and see if the IP is of the old site or the new one? In some instances depending on your settings it could take hours for your DNS to be updated globally by all ISPs.
Unfortunately as I don’t know what your IPs should be this is difficult to just share your domain. One thing I can tell you from that link though is that you have a wordpress site and your blog lives on the same www subdomain (yourdomain.com/blog as opposed to blog.yourdomain.com). What (sub)domain are you using for your Hubspot blog to test?
My IP address is 91.156.112.157. I do’t use subdomain, I am using only the main domain. Incase the subdomain is needed I can creat it.
You do not need to post your IP. I meant you only know the IP of where your domain was hosted and where it should be pointed to if it is not pointing to Hubspot. Hubspot won’t automatically use your domain because you are using it for your Wordpress website. You will need to create a new subdomain and point the records to Hubspot per the setup of a landing page domain for your blog. Connect a domain to HubSpot
@DMarko as I mentioned in the other message, it’s not possible to have the same domain used in both WP and HubSpot, without a subdomain you won’t be able to make it work. Let us know if you have questions about @Ben_M’s recommendation and next steps.

hi @DMarko so once you have the HubSpot blog succesfully published and verified on the subdomain, then you can unpublish your wordpress blog and setup redirects to the HubSpot subdomain URLs.
That will make sure that anyone who has the old URLS from WP will be able to access the new blog.
Hi @DMarko it looks like you have the domain configured properly for the blog, can you verify that the blog posts are published, and that they aren’t published to a staging domain (one that has hs-sites in the URL)?
If you aren’t able to view the URLs, it is likely a cache issue - try an incognito browser and see if that helps.
A few suggestions:
- remove the Blog Slug from your blog settings so that it is blank (remove “natural-wine-from-central-europe”)
- replace the blog post page slug from “central-europe” to “natural-wine-from-central-europe”)
looking at your website, you might consider changing the blog slug to “natural-wines” but based on the first article and topics you can cover, it seems too specific for the blog slug to be the same as the title for your first article.
May I asked, is it possible to copy the XML of a blog and add it to WordPress? the theme is chosen and the blog is almost ready to be added to the webpage.
