Hello everyone,
I’m looking for insights on a potential workaround for attaching third-party comments to existing meetings on HubSpot records. As the current API doesn’t support this, I’m considering the following approach:
- Utilize the
hs_internal_meeting_notes field to store comments.
- Trigger a workflow whenever
hs_internal_meeting_notes is updated.
- Populate the workflow-triggered value into the comments section.``
Before proceeding, I’m seeking your insights on the feasibility of this workaround and any potential improvements or alternatives.
Thank you in advance!
Hi @YouAssa95,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community!
That’s a great workaround, good idea!
I’d like to invite some of our Top Experts to this discussion: Hi @danmoyle, @johnelmer and @OPerek-Clark what are your thoughts on this workaround? Also, do you have other workaround to suggest in such case, please?
Also, if anybody else has anything to add and/or share, please feel free to join in the conversation
Thank you so much
and have a great day!
Best,
Bérangère
@YouAssa95 curious about the use case, and what you mean by third party comments? Are these from non-HubSpot users? Other systems that use comments on your calendar? I’m not familiar with what you’ve asked, or why someone would want to add notes to the comments (aren’t the notes already populatingm and therefore visible on the logged meeting?). I’d love to learn more.
