-The scan should be done between 11pm-5am in the local portal’s time zone. This means that each morning a user could review to accept or reject duplicate records found to make sure the data is ready for the working day.
-There should be an option to manually scan twice in a 24 our period in additional to the scheduled scan overnight. The ability exists in backend HubSpot tools to kick off a manual scan anytime, but it is often denied because of a hands off, self-service mentality. Yet, customers and clients still ask. I think this would be a win win considering HubSpot has 29 billion dollars in resources to facilitate this and it would clear out a lot of HubSpot ideas in the process.
-Remove the bulk merge action limitation in the Manage duplicates tool. Again, HubSpot is worth 29 billion dollars and it seems very petty to place a limitation on record duplicates. This is basic funtionality. Imagine needing to upgrade to take bulk actions in the rest of the CRM. It just doesn’t make logical sense.
@shanemetz_ I also ran into some of these limitations so we built Koalify, a plugin to simplify HubSpot deduplication.
- duplicate scans happen instantly all the time
- bulk merges are posible via a simple workflow action:
I though this could help.
We don’t have 29 billion dollars though, just 2 guys bootstrapping a niche solution.
I have another improvement suggestion that I think would help tremendously … instead of displaying the email address in the listing, let us choose what field we want to see in the listing, such as street address or date of birth - or even a custom field -- as that would make rejecting ones much easier since we wouldn’t need to open each one individually.
Also, throw out all your rejections after a while? I seem to be rejecting ones that I previously rejected a few weeks ago.
I suggest we do some duplicate manually for easy work flow. Where I come from many don’t have access to machines or fax ,even to use it is a problem.i think proper education and dedication to little things matters. All for the labour to be shared and knowledge is achieved.
