When managing duplicate records in a HubSpot account, we typically click “Review” to begin the merge process. On the Merge Duplicate Record page, HubSpot recently introduced the “Merge and Review Next” button, a valuable addition for streamlining bulk deduplication.
However, there are scenarios where a merge cannot be completed - for example, when a contact is currently enrolled in a sequence. In such cases, users are forced to take a step back and manually reject the record, interrupting the flow and decreasing operational efficiency during high-volume deduplication efforts.
To enhance this workflow, HubSpot should introduce an additional button labeled “Reject and Review Next” on the Merge Duplicate Record page. This would allow users to seamlessly skip problematic merges without leaving the page and immediately move on to the next duplicate for review, significantly improving the speed and user experience of the deduplication process.
This feature would be especially beneficial for RevOps teams and CRM administrators handling large-scale data hygiene tasks.
