List Segmentation based on Products

We want to create active lists based on what customers have viewed, added to cart, or purchased. For example, if someone has viewed safety products, we want to be able to create an active list just for those people who are interested in safety products and send them targeted emails. I am having trouble figuring out how to do this. We have a lot of products and I can’t seem to find a way to segment by collection or type of product purchased.

Does this type of information not get brought over from Shopify, and is this possible?

Hello @LVrana thank you for posting in our Community!

to create a list using Products as filters, these are the steps,

  • In your HubSpot account, navigate to Contacts > Lists.
  • In the upper right, click Create List.
  • In the left panel, select Contact-based to create a list of contacts
  • Select Add filter.
  • Scroll or type to search, then select a filter category.
  • From the dropdown select Product > name > Is any of them and add the product you wish

All contacts that are associated with this product will show up in the list.

To our top experts @himanshurauthan @danmoyle any recommendations to @LVrana matter?

Thank you,

Pam

Thanks for that suggestion, however, we have over 30,000 products, so I was hoping there would be a way to segment by collection rather than listing each individual product - which is just unmanageable when we have products coming and going constantly.

Any other ideas?

Hi @LVrana and welcome to the community. In following suggestions from @PamCotton you’ll see this:

In that list, there’s Folder Name and Category as options. If you’re organiing your products using these product properties, you should be able to do what you’re asking. It’s all about that data management and organizing your operations. Hope that helps!
