Hello,

We are planning to implement CRM sync and are trying to understand how to handle LinkedIn data deletion when a data subject is deleted in HubSpot.

Simply unsyncing the CRM sync doesn’t seem to be a viable solution, as it appears to stop updates rather than delete the data in LinkedIn. We need a process that ensures data is properly deleted from LinkedIn when a record is removed from HubSpot.

Could you please provide guidance on the recommended approach for this scenario?

You’re correct, unsync won’t delete the data back in linkedin which is transferred to HubSpot.

In this scenario a viable option would be to use API from linkedin to send a deletion request, after mapping the contact’s identifier which is deleted in hubspot with the corresponding data in LinkedIn.
