Recently I had to convert a bunch of deals into tickets and import them, and found that the deals once converted into tickets weren’t properly associated with their contacts.
So I exported the data to take a look in excel, and realised that the exported data had two Associated Contact IDs columns, along with two Associated Contacts columns. The first version of Associated Contact IDs has the data from the imported deals list, which has also a custom property in Hubspot. The second version of Associated Contact IDs contains the data that is used for actual associations in Hubspot.
There’s also two Ticket ID columns, but both appear identical.
So, the question I have, is if I copy the data from the first Associated Contact IDs field into the second one, and reimport it, will that fix the problem and make the tickets converted from deals properly associated in Hubspot?
Looking at the Hubspot Academy, the suggested action there is to import Contacts and Tickets together, which also looks like it would work, but does seem redundant as all associated contacts already exist in Hubspot.
