Hello everyone! We have some very exciting news to share.
After months of preparation behind the scenes, the time has finally come to announce it to you. The HubSpot Community is transitioning to a new platform that is faster, cleaner, and more modern.
Even with these changes, the role of the community remains the same. It will continue to be the familiar place where you can quickly gain expert insights, solve problems, share ideas, or simply learn new things.
The migration (launch) is scheduled for mid-June 2026. To receive the latest updates, please subscribe to this post (Subscribe). Additionally, as the migration date approaches, informational banners will appear within the community, so please keep an eye out for those as well.
What You Should Know in Advance
About the Short-Term “Read-Only Mode”
For a few days before the migration, the community will be in “read-only mode.” You will be able to search and view content, but during this period, you will not be able to create new posts, reply, or log in to your community account.
Currently, the read-only mode is planned from the end of business on June 9, 2026 (EOD PT: Pacific Time) until June 15. Please note that for a few hours immediately before the new community goes live on June 15, the forums may be completely offline (inaccessible).
If you need support during this period, you can continue to use the following alternative support channels as usual:
- Support chatbot within your HubSpot account
- HubSpot Knowledge Base
- HubSpot Academy
About Cleanup of Dormant Accounts
If you have not logged in for more than 12 months and have never created any content (posts, replies, ideas, etc.), your account will not be migrated. If you wish to resume participating in the community, you can always create a new account.
If you have ever created content in the past, no action is required on your part; your account will be automatically migrated. Important Note: Past private messages (DMs) will not be migrated. If you have important direct messages you wish to keep, we recommend backing them up individually in advance.
About Data Handling
This may sound a bit technical, but it is very important information. As part of this migration, your community profile, posts, replies, ideas, and other contributions will be transferred to the new community platform. Data will be migrated through a secure process, and you will continue to be able to log in using your existing HubSpot Single Sign-On (SSO). For details on data processing, please refer to the HubSpot Website Terms of Use and the HubSpot Privacy Policy.
If you do not wish to migrate your account, please submit a request via this Community Migration Opt-Out Form (select “Community Migration”). To prepare for the migration process, we kindly ask that you complete your request by May 20.
A Sneak Peek at New Features
- Automatic translation of all posts into your language: Post content will be automatically translated, allowing you to smoothly browse and participate in conversations across the global community. Additionally, regional spaces (Spanish, Portuguese, French, Japanese, German) will be organized into dedicated categories, continuing to deliver region-specific news and discussions.
- Redesigned Badge System: The badge system that recognizes valuable activities within the community will be updated. Visual icons and titles displayed next to usernames and on profile pages will make it easy to see each member’s role, permissions, and achievements (reputation) at a glance.
- Faster and Cleaner Post Editor: The new editor works very smoothly even on mobile devices. While featuring a minimal toolbar, it fully supports rich text editing.
- Easier Thread Navigation: Replies will be displayed in chronological order, and a new scrollbar with a timeline on the right side of the screen will make it easy to navigate even long threads. If you want to reply to a specific comment, the newly added convenient “quote feature” will allow you to precisely indicate which part you are replying to, keeping the conversation flow clear.
- Tag Highlighting: The design of tags has been updated, and they will now appear at the top of each post. This makes it easy to grasp the topic’s theme at a glance.
- A More Polished HUG Experience: HUG (HubSpot User Group) spaces will be consolidated into a new dedicated events platform. Spaces for the Japan HUG, Admin HUG, and San Diego HUG will continue to be maintained as individual spaces within this community. However, if you wish to connect with users in your region or attend events near you or of interest, please use HubSpot Events going forward.
