When comparing analytic reports on hubspot from linkedin analytics, the numbers are drastically different. How come? Which is more accurate when comparing content interactions/clicks/impressions etc. Also, what are networking clicks vs. clicks? Thanks!
Hi @mnguyen7 - great question. High level answer, different analytics platforms have different query aggregation strategies (which may rely on a number of factors, including IP address, timezone, and time frame). Therefore, they also have different analytics results. Also, when measuring data like clicks, HubSpot analytcis shows the number of clicks on posts published through HubSpot, not in the app itself. So that could also be a factor. I found a similar question here (with a great answer from @sharonlicari) that may also help.
What you ultimately measure will depend on what data story you’re telling. Are you interested in conversions? I’d look more at landing page and form conversions than social media clicks. I prefer traffic reports showing original source to measure effectiveness of social media marketing rather than the difference between what the platform says and my analytics tools says.
I hope this helps!
That was helpful. Thank you
