2 ways that I would identify the people who need my product:
I would check out the product usuage - the detailed analytics assess the most used product or service.
I would also look at the customer feedback - which is always an indicator if their experience has been positive or negative; either or can leverage making a stronger connection with the user. The customer reviews help to remain updated with the user’s perspective.
Social media in one of the best ways for sales people to find active buyers. We can start doing research in whereas they find our company or other companies similar to ours in order to join the conversation.
Once we have joined groups, communities or social media fan pages we start doing some research about whtat they like, what are they response to certain topics.
Yes! There’s a wealth of information available on social media. And I love your point that you can see more than just their interactions with your company--you can get a good sense of their other interests and their current priorities, too!
1) If my company already have customers list, I create a list with some of commom chacarteristics between of them, like: market segment, annual revenue, number of employees, location, decision maker level, etc.
Most number of informations possible were I can create a standard.
2) Search on some tools to clearify some market and business specific informations from marketing process, technology, market share, who is who in the company, contact number and e-mail, etc: Linkedin Navigator; Similarweb; Semrush; Wappalyzer; Snovio; Clearbit; Domain Search;
3) Create a Cadence flow with specific issues solution for each prospection.
The modern sales process moved this subject from sales to marketing. As a salesperson, we may pinpoint the areas but bind to lead generation by marketing. So we need to get familiar with marketing more and more each day.
YES!! Have you see HubSpot Academy’s Sales Enablement Certification? It’s all about how marketing needs to be taking care of this for sales. You’re ahead of the curve in thinking this way!
I run a lot of lead generation campaigns on social media. Whenever I receive a text or call, I am always interested in knowing what issues the lead is facing. If it is related to what am offering then i educate further. Even passive buyers I always educate about our service offering.
Yes! Every product solves a problem, and so many salespeople wrongly assume that every single person has that problem. They don’t! And while the salesperson is wasting time talking to people who don’t have the problem, the people who do have the problem are needlessly suffering! Find the people who need your help, and then swoop in and save the day!
We need to understand what are the key points to be taken care as Business problem.The active buyers are those who are stuck in business problem somewhere.
through media conversation will be able to conduct need assessment and be able to know exactly the immediate need,then will be able to offer immediate solution.
I like two approaches in order to identify active buyers:
1. Actively participating in social media to slide my way or my reps way into relevant conversations, blogs or threads of potential buyers by sharing or interacting with the community at hand.
2. Following up with customers on how their experience to their solution was with us and asking if they know anyone else my be interested for us to help them reach their goals or resolve their challenges.
