How can I fix HTML email errors in HubSpot without a developer?

For emails in house we create them from scratch, however we work with companies and send out emails on their behalfs, which they give us HTML to add to Hubspot and it is giving me error messages, see attached image.

What would be the best way forward for us to make things as easy as possible? We don’t have a dev team in house. Thanks!

Hi @HNilsson! Welcome to the Community-- happy to have you here

I see you are getting an error about style tags in the body of your workflow marketing email. For custom coded HubSpot email templates, you can use HubSpot’s hs-inline-css or data-hse-inline-css functionality to have supported CSS automatically compiled into inline styles; media queries should remain in a separate <style> tag.

That said, this warning shouldn’t stop you from sending your email; however, the email may not display as intended across all email clients. This is due to limited support from email clients for content within a tag. You could always test the workflow by removing enrollment criteria and just manually enrolling a test contact with your email address-- this would give you an idea of how the styling is affected.

I would also like to invite a few subject matter experts to share their tips and tricks for inline styling for HTML emails. @Stephanie-OG, @alyssamwilie, @Humashankar, any best practices for @HNilsson to style this HTML email more effectively?

Best,
Kennedy

Hi @kennedyp Your analysis of the issue is spot on,

Hi @HNilsson my add on recommendation would be exploring HubSpot’s built-in CSS classes, which can streamline your styling process and ensure consistency across different email clients.

Hope this helps - Happy to help further!!
Thank you very much and have a great one!
Warm regards
