We have tried inserting HTML into our email designs several times, and at first it looks fine when we insert it in Hubspot, but when it delivers the e-shot, the formatting is all wrong.
The Helpful Hubspot team have told us “thats a problem with outlook, not Hubspot”… unfortunately I disagree.
For years we have designed our eshots in a platform called ‘BeePro’ and then transferred the HTML to Mailchimp. The email sends and receives absolutely fine when sent from Mailchimp… its only when it is sent from Hubspot that the formatting is distorted (heading and images are all squished together).
Has anyone else had problems when copying HTML into Hubspot? And has anyone found a solution? For now, we are using the Hubspot email designer, but i’d like a fix so that we can use the HTML.

I would like to apologize for the frustration, data issues, and business impact this has caused.
I can see that you are trying to add HTML code into HubSpot’s emails but when sending the emails, the format is not correct.
- Where are you adding the HTML code please? Directly in the email? Or in the design tools? It seems that it is in the design tools but I just need confirmation on that.
- Have you built a custom coded template for that?
- Which subscription do you have?
The more info, screenshots (without sensitive/confidential information), and details you can provide, the better the Community can assist.
I found for you the solution from @alyssamwilie on this similar post “upload your own HTML/CSS code for email template” that might help you!
I also wanted to invite a couple of subject matter experts to this conversation @GRajput, @danmoyle and @OPerek-Clark do you have any suggestions to help @AParfitt please?

Thanks for your response.
In the Email builder, we have been inserting our HTML code into the HTML content block:
[cid:image001.png@01D9B96B.918B8760]
As mentioned, there is no problem entering this code on the left-hand panel of the design tool - and the design appears correctly… but when we send it, the receiver gets a distorted version that is different to what we see in Hubspot.

@AParfitt we encourage our clients to use the drag and drop editor, taking advantage of the standard HubSpot functionality. For design elements, we also use Canva since it’s integrated.
If that isn’t your preference, a custom HTML template could maybe work if you get help from a developer. That would be my advice. Systems differ, and what worked before with a different solution just may not be the same experience with HubSpot. Sorry for the bad news!
