Hi everyone,
We are building an HTML email and are having trouble with what the test email looks like when we send it to ourselves -- it looks very wonky with copy and graphics completely out of place. In the email preview it looks great, however, so we could just be missing some HubSpot-specific formatting.
Is there anyone who knows HTML in HubSpot that can help? We can send the code of the email over that we have built so someone can troubleshoot and add the missing HubSpot code that would format it correctly.
Thank you.
Hi, @JNaar
Welcome to our community! Quick question — Can you let us know which email clients you’ve tested the email with so far? Is the issue specifically happening with Outlook, or are other clients affected as well.
Thanks! — Jaycee
Hey @JNaar,
if you create HTML templates, you can start with the responsive email template guide.
And just a tip:
If you don’t want to wrap your head around several email clients functionality and their own little quirks - create an email template that is 95%+ what you’re looking for with the dnd editor, send it to yourself, open the email in a browser, inspect the source code, copy it, paste it as a new HTML template and add all the HubSpot modules in the desired areas.
Also here are some tools worth checking out:
- mjml.io (great framework to build responsive templates)
- stripo.email (great dnd builder which let’s you export the templates to HTML or directly to HubSpot and other tools)
best,
Anton
Hey @JNaar,
There are several ways to use HTML on HubSpot, but one of the most reliable solutions is to utilize an email builder or framework to create your HTML emails.
Postcards email builder, which you can check out here: Postcards on HubSpot.
For more details, you can visit this page and explore HubSpot HTML email templates here .
Using this email builder allows you to export your HTML email to HubSpot with just one click, eliminating the need to manually work with code.
Could you let us know which email clients you’ve tested the email with so far?
Thanks Jaycee. We have not tested with any clients or prospects, we only tested internally and only with Gmail. We have built a design using HubSpot’s regular email building feature, so for now, we might be okay. However, when we revisit this internally, I will see if I can grab images for you and Anton.
