Goals for project vs. team

We are a company that produces events, and need to secure sponsorship for each of those events. Our revenue goals are tied to the event, while the entire team sells for all events.

I’d like to create a Goal that allows us to track against the event revenue goal, but I’m not sure how to make that happen.

I was thinking maybe I could make different pipelines for each event, and have the Goal attached to the event specific pipeline? If that was the case how can I make it so that the Sales team is selecting the right pipeline when creating a deal?

Hi Stillskill ! I think you can have a single pipeline if the sales process is the same for all events, and have multiple deals within that pipeline. Each deal would need to have an associated event through a property on the deal object (for example, a dropdown menu with options like Event A, Event B, etc.). This way, you can create a report that tracks the number of closed-won or closed-lost deals tied to each event property. Since the deals are also associated with a salesperson, you should be able to link this data together.

Regarding the goal, in professional sales, goals are typically set on a monthly basis per salesperson, so it’s up to you to define their productivity targets. Does this approach make sense to you? Thank you.
