Github integration - Blog template editing - Publishing Problem

Hello! So we have a github integrations that is working nicely (GitHub - HubSpot/hubspot-cms-deploy-action: GitHub Action to deploy HubSpot CMS projects · GitHub). I have been asked to edit an existing template with pre-existing content. The change gets migrated over via github into hubspot with no problems. But the Publish button stays greyed out. I cannot publish my changes. I tried adding some spaces inside of the design manager just to see the Publish button turn orange. Once I got the Publish button to light up I pressed it and I still did not see the change on my blog post. How can I get my change to show on pre-existing content?

Any thoughts?

Hi @KHand

Thank you for reaching out!

is this the integration you’re referencing?

Do you have the same issue after clearing cache & cookies/another browser?

Curious if you have the same issue with a template that’s not coming from Github, or only speficically the ones from Github?

Thank you!

Best

Hey T, I had tried your solution, but the one I was referencing was GitHub - HubSpot/hubspot-cms-deploy-action: GitHub Action to deploy HubSpot CMS projects · GitHub. I tried cleaning cache and removing cookies. I have fixed my original issue though. I was making edits to a template file and not a module. The fix was inside of the hubspot backend ui. I had to select the blog article > Settings > Advanced > Change template > Choose my updated file. I am not 100% on why this is, but in a template it seems to hold on the the previous version of the template. Thanks everyone for the feedback!
