Ghost data in productivity report

I have a NOTES report that shows about 700 notes that are mostly empty or dont have an associated contac or company or owner.

I would like to just delet them all in one BULK but HS cant do that so need to go through one by one.

Bigger problem, the notes that dont have an associated company, contact or owner can’t be selected, so cant be opened or deleted.

The notes were a record of calls made while HS was being setup. But becasue HS cant import calls, had to do it that way.

The reason for the empty notes is because I imported the list with empty cells. HS didnt recognise that the note body was empty and so it imported anyway.

I had 2 sessions of import and delete of the same list (to get it right) and that’s where the GHOSTS have come from.

Any suggestions as to how to get rid of these.

(PS I have since discovered an import tool that works a treat for any type of CRM import, including calls in HS - too bad it wasnt found until after the mess has been created.)

Bulk deleting specific items within HubSpot records can be a challenge @DAGnew. Unfortunately, the only available bulk-delete automation may be via the HubSpot Engagements API. Maybe ask over in the developers forum if anyone has some code they’d be willing to share.

Just be careful. Typically, delete via the API = unrecoverable.

Hi Frank

Thanks for the reply.

If there was a bulk delete that would have been great.

As it is, I resorted to picking them off one-by-one from clicking them in the report. (that is, for the ones that have an association with compnay and/or contact)

However, the real problem is that there are hundreds of notes listed that are NOT associated with company and/or contact.

In these cases, I can’t pick them off one-by-one.

It’s no huge deal - it just distorts the metrics.

Cheers

Daniel
