Forms not override existing Data

Hi

We are using Hubspot in two ways. One for pure marketing (Contacts, Products and Companies) standard stuff. The other way I am setting it up to use it as a Customer Rewards vehicle. Unfortuately when creating a form I cannot add Companies/Contacts/Deals all on one form. I did call support but it was way too convoluted to do.
Is there a way when someone completes a form it creates a record (which it does) but does NOT Override an existing record. It creates a record regardless. I can then manually check for existing record, and merge it, then add the claim data to the deal. I would say it averages for now no more than 10 a month
We do not have that many claims, so it is not going to be too bad.

Hi @JGray30,

Sure - as long as you’re not asking for the contact “Email” or company “Company domain name”, HubSpot will not update an existing record but create a new one. If you have to ask for this information, you need to create custom properties to use for that purpose instead and for your review.

Best regards!

Ah right that makes sense, thank you
