Form Submissions Not Recording

I published a form last week and tested it myself before sharing it with my audience. Form submissions came through, I received email and app notifications. Today, when circling back to ask those who haven’t completed it to do so, I’m getting feedback that many of them have already filled in the form. Is there a reason some submissions save while others don’t? With so many having the same issue, it’s difficult to blame the user.

Hey @Rachel-Pitts, thanks for reaching out! I haven’t heard of an issue like this before.

Are you 100% sure that the contacts you’re following up with haven’t filled out the HubSpot form? You should see the form submission on their contact record as well as with the submission history on the form. You can also create a list of contacts who have or haven’t submitted a specific form, so I recommend doing so as an added failsafe.

Is there only one form that you’re talking about here? Is it possible that a contact filled out another form on your website instead of the one you wanted them to?

Did all contacts fill out their form on their own in a separate browser, or did any contacts use the same device/window to submit the form? I ask because HubSpot will update the initial contact record vs create a new contact for each form submission on a shared device. It’s possible that all contacts did fill out the form, but you’re not seeing the activity on their record if HubSpot associated it to their colleague.

If you’re still having trouble, your best bet is to open up a ticket with HubSpot Support for further troubleshooting.

Hope this helps!!

Hey @Rachel-Pitts can you confirm if you’re using a native HubSpot form, a third party integration or non-HubSpot forms please? Could you also link to a page you’re experiencing this on to see if there’s anything we can test for to determine the issue?
