Hi HubSpot community,
My HubSpot Payments account is fully approved and shows Stripe as connected with the correct platform fees.
However, all our invoice and payment links return the following error, both for clients and internally:
“There’s a problem with this page right now. Check back soon, or contact us for help.”
We’ve:
Please escalate this urgently, as we are unable to receive payments from clients.
Thanks,
Petr
Hi
Thank you for reaching out to the Community!
I’d like to invite some community members who are subject matter experts to join this conversation.
@danmoyle @jolle @JonathanS - Would you be able to share any insights on this? Your expertise would be greatly appreciated.
Best,
Victor
Hi @PZajkas and welcome to the Community. My first question - have you contacted HubSpot Support? Or maybe Stripe Support?
I’m in the U.S., but as I understand it, if your HubSpot account is hosted in the EU, certain platform or integration restrictions (even with the new EU rollout). It seems especially true around Stripe and data routing. Which can sometimes cause unexplained errors with payment links. I’d first make sure your regional data and Stripe account settings meet all of HubSpot’s requirements for EU accounts.
Also, I’ve read that HubSpot (or Stripe) may temporarily restrict a payments account due to missing documentation, account review, or compliance checks. Even if the account appears “approved,” a restriction may only be visible via an email notification or an alert in your account.
I learned this last insight here in Community: In the EU, HubSpot’s Stripe integration sometimes mismanages non-card payment methods (SEPA, BACS, etc.), which can break links if those payment options aren’t active, or if they’re incorrectly configured on both Stripe and HubSpot. Disabling and re-enabling specific payment methods (like BACS Direct Debit or SEPA Direct Debit) in both platforms, saving, and then re-enabling as needed is a known workaround.
One thing you could try is to temporarily disable all non-card payment methods (BACS, SEPA) in HubSpot and Stripe (save), then test card payments only. If this works, re-enable bank payment methods step-by-step, following Stripe and HubSpot guidance for each step.
And of course, support at either or both companies is a potential help as well.
