I’ve recently connected HubSpot with Stripe using the payment processor integration on the app marketplace. I’m looking to have it so that when I create an invoice in HubSpot, the deal maps to Stripe, however I’m not seeing anything appear from within stripe.
Does anyone have advice for troubleshooting to find what may be preventing the invoices from appearing? I can confirm that the integration setup is connected properly with HubSpot.
I just checked, and it seems like this issue isn’t common among other users. Let’s reach out to our experts to see if they’ve encountered something similar and if they have any recommendations to help you.
Hey there @BSmith08. That has to be frustrating. This may seem elementary, but have you asked HubSpot Support or support at Stripe? Maybe either side has seen a similar issue and has the fix?
My first thought is whether Stripe is receiving the data from HubSpot, so is there something on the Stripe side not turned on? Or does it take an actual workflow to send the data into Stripe, perhaps?
I haven’t had the issue, but that’s where I’d start if it were me.
If you are experiencing issues with your HubSpot invoices not showing up in Stripe, even after confirming that the integration setup is properly connected, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem. First, make sure that the invoice and deal properties in HubSpot are accurately mapped to the corresponding fields in Stripe. This ensures that the necessary information is being transferred correctly between the two platforms. Next, verify that the integration settings in HubSpot allow for invoice syncing. Double-check that this feature is enabled to ensure that invoices are being synced between HubSpot and Stripe. Additionally, confirm that all required fields in Stripe are populated correctly. Make sure that all necessary information is provided in these fields to avoid any syncing issues. If you have completed these steps and the problem persists, it is recommended to review the integration logs or error messages in both HubSpot and Stripe. This can provide valuable insights into any potential issues or errors that may be occurring during the syncing process. If none of these steps resolve the problem, it may be necessary to reach out to HubSpot and Stripe support for more detailed troubleshooting assistance. They will be able to provide further guidance and help resolve any underlying issues with the integration.
Hey would love to help. Hubspot only creates the paymentintent in stripe when a client lcicks they pay button on the invoice. It doesnt create an invoice in stripe. I wish hubspot sent more details through to stripe with each quote or payment or anything. Unfortunately they just make a bare bones transaction to pass to stripe to process the payment.
@DianaGomez I’m facing the same issue where the decription isn’t being updated in Stripe from HubSpot payments even if the product description is populated. Quite possibly its because of the limited information being passed through from HubSpot to Stripe? Be great to find out if there’s any fix around this. PS: The Stripe Data Sync also doesn’t pass product or payment information through to Stripe.
Have you had a chance to try the options Dan provided? In these situations, those steps are usually the best way to troubleshoot what might be happening and determine if it’s an integration limitation or something else. Plus, since they have access to your account, they can likely troubleshoot much faster.
