Email tracking issues

Hubspot was working great! Then I decided to “try the new Outlook” firstly hubspot did not work there and secondly I did not like the new outlook, so I reviered to the old desktop version.
But Hubspot did not come back :-(. The SalesTool was there but before I did the above, every email automatically add the Bcc line and it tracked all opening.
I’ve reinstalled the addin but no change
If I manually add the Bcc it says “you logged it but did not track it”.
Any help?

Hi @TM-NI ,

HubSpot recently ended support for the Outlook Desktop Add-in because of some changes related to the New Outlook. Here are some resources for you to get you back up and running.

Hope this helps!

That is a step back
This might be an outlook question or realted to your above statement.
I have my good old hotmail email (to which my Office356 account is linked) as wel as a gmail and my work email coming into Outlook.
Under the old system it tracked all emails outlook, work, gmail. Now the app is only showing up on the hotmail account - if I move to work or gmail the sales tool disappears.

Hi @TM-NI ,

That makes sense, since Outlook for Desktop is no longer supported but Office 365 is.

Make sure your other email accounts are directly connected to HubSpot. You can connect multiple personal email accounts to SalesHub, so your should connect your gmail account. If work is also connected to Office 365 or Google, you can connect that as well.

Good man - that is it sorted now. I just wnat to ask one last question - more for anyone coming behind and reading this. I have a purchased licence of Microsoft 365. I’m using the desktop application that is installed with Microsoft 365. It is linked to a hotmail.com account (live.com by another name). As I’m a sole trader.
But when you say Desktop outlook are you talking about the above and when you say Office 365, if I’m correct, you are not talking about the above, but you are talking about the Business Suit connected to a deicated Exchange Server. Even though when I click on File it says “Account Information - <email address> Microsoft Exchange”.
Because bottom line it is working just like beofre now (as far as I can see), evne though you are saying “Outlook for Desktop is no longer supported”. What I think you mena is the Outlook that comes pre-installed with Windows is no longer supported but Microsoft 365 and Offoce 365 are still supported.
It’s all very confusing and I think it’s more on Microsoft terms than Hubspot, but thougt it worth clarifing form the next person in my postion that reads this. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.

Hi @TM-NI ,

Correct. When I say “Outlook Desktop,” I am referring to a desktop application that sends and receives email using SMTP/POP as opposed to a cloud application that may have a desktop component, like Office 365.
